A Testament of Faith, Resilience, and Love

I have walked a long and winding path — through loss, illness, and trials that tested the limits of my body, heart, and spirit. Life threatened to take me more than once, yet through every shadow, I clung to faith. I believed that God’s promises are true, even when their fulfillment takes decades.

For twenty years, I waited, prayed, and trusted. When justice finally began to unfold, I felt the unmistakable hand of God guiding each step, each movement, each revelation. I realized that the timing of His work is perfect, and my role was never to force it, but to endure, witness, and remain faithful.

Through these trials, my family became my refuge and my strength. My three children — Dr. Laurence, future doctor Jamie, and Nurse Jazzy — grew not only into remarkable individuals but into healers whose hearts reflect the lessons life has taught us. Their love, care, and steadfastness form a bond that is unbreakable, forged in shared struggle, and strengthened by unwavering support for one another.

And beside us all stood my sunshine - Ray - whose love and loyalty for eighteen years never wavered, providing a quiet but profound strength that allowed us to flourish even in hardship. Together, we became more than a family; we became a sanctuary of love, courage, and resilience.

I have come to understand that true legacy is not measured by accolades, wealth, or recognition, but by the love we cultivate, the faith we hold, and the lives we touch. Every hardship I endured has borne fruit in my children, in my family, and in the peace I now carry within me.

I am alive. I am grateful. And I am witness to the miracle of life, love, and the faithful fulfillment of God’s promises.

This is my story, my journey, and my testament — a life marked by perseverance, faith, and enduring love.

In Awe of God's Creation

At dawn’s quiet edge, I stand in awe,

The sky a canvas without flaw.

Darkness lingers, yet light takes its place,

A gentle promise of boundless grace.

The night retreats as colors bloom,

Hope awakening in the gloom.

Each ray of light, a whispered call:

God’s love sustains and conquers all.

In every shadow, His hand is near,

Through darkest times, His light is clear.

The heavens proclaim, in beauty profound,

His glory eternal, His mercies unbound.

This morning, I stood still, marveling at the breathtaking beauty of God’s creation. The sky at dawn was a canvas of quiet wonder—a deep, tranquil darkness that still held the promise of light. It was as if the first rays of day were gently pushing against the night, reminding me that no matter how heavy the darkness may seem, it cannot hold back the light.

In that moment, I felt a deep peace, knowing that just as the dawn breaks, so too does God’s faithfulness. His mercies are new every morning, His light is ever constant, and His hand is always at work—even in the shadows.

How majestic is our Creator, who paints the heavens with such purpose! It’s a reminder that, even in our darkest times, His light is ready to break through, bringing hope, renewal, and grace.

Psalm 19:1 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” And this morning, they surely did. ☀️

The Waiting Grief

The truth may take time, but it will eventually come, as long as you keep your heart open to it.

There is a grief that never quiets,

not with time, not with tears.

It sits like stone within the heart,

waiting patiently for years.

A life left empty, words unspoken,

truths that hide behind the dark.

I carry memories, frayed and broken,

and bear this hollow, aching mark.

They call it “moving on”—but I remain

rooted in moments left unclear.

Though I’ve forgiven, though I’ve grown,

the echo of injustice lingers here.

I wait for answers, watch and listen,

as shadows shift, as truths arise.

For what goes around returns again,

and all that’s hidden meets the light.

There’s no revenge in this quiet strength,

no joy in watching others fall.

Only a hope that peace will come,

and lay its hands upon us all.

Hope's Anchor

In the tempest’s roar, where shadows play,

Hope stands firm, a guiding ray.

Through darkest nights and endless seas,

It whispers softly, “You will find peace.”

With every wave that crashes near,

Hope holds the soul, calms the fear.

A steadfast light, it breaks the gloom,

Promising joy will always bloom.

When storms arise and hearts feel torn,

Remember, from night, a new day is born.

So cast your anchor, let faith unfurl,

For hope is the anchor that steadies our world.

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you decide to see beyond the imperfections.

"Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward to the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage and confidence." ~ Og Mandino

If I could wish for my life to be perfect, it would be tempting, but I would have to decline, for life would no longer teach me anything.
