Happy birthday to your dad!

How fabulous and lucky that you've had a man you can call your hero. It takes a great man to earn that title!

Well done :D

Bing and Dad, that is all the better I sing anymore. A choir director asked me to not be in his choir many years ago and I haven't sung since.

I like your haiku, it reminds me of having a picnic by the sea, years ago also. :D

Bing Yap September 16, 2010 at 8:08 AM

hi jim, i feel so honored to have you singing again. that is so sweet of you. thanks for the warm birthday greetings.

Bing Yap September 16, 2010 at 8:13 AM

bloggin' with amanda, he treated his people (former employees) like his own children. that's why he is still so loved by them. this was the kind of boss who knew each and every employee's children's names and there were around 50 people at that time. the surprise party was organized by them.

thanks for the visit. :)

Bing Yap September 16, 2010 at 8:15 AM

How fun. This is just an aside but my dad, who I never knew, was killed in WWII when I was 3 months old. His nickname was BING. (Last name Bingaman). Coincidence or serendipity?

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you decide to see beyond the imperfections.

"Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward to the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage and confidence." ~ Og Mandino

If I could wish for my life to be perfect, it would be tempting, but I would have to decline, for life would no longer teach me anything.
