The Masquerade
taking things
in stride
what is it
you hide
behind the mask
you wear
what's the secret
you can't bare
your empty
laughter
laughter
gives away

Ahhh but laughter is so good for the soul regardless of what we can't bare :) Very nice my friend :)

i love how you say so much in so few words. I really enjoyed reading this and the emotions it provoked.
"empty laughter" - it is very revealing.
Really enjoyed this!
Yes, I know this feeling, of laughing to cover the pain that is too intense to reveal. Very well said, Bing. And keep smiling, we love your smile!
Laughter is the key to almost everything. Excellent Bing.
Have a terrific day. Big hug. :)

behind the mask says it all...at a point the actor will want to get a life...at a point the mask will be unveiled but sad to see people see behind the mask despite all the empty effort to hide. Nicely done!
Cheers.
