Phoenix Rising... (Haiku)

from ashes she rose
and fluttered towards the sun
swift as light she soared...

________

strength renewed by flames
she spreads her wide fiery wings
a phoenix rises...

your Haiku is always fabulous.

Sherry Blue Sky October 27, 2010 at 10:46 AM

You write such wonderful haikus, a form I find so challenging, I have never tried them. It is a gift to say so much in so few lines, a gift you have. Awesome, Bing.

This is very uplifting and encouraging and so beautiful. Thanks for sharing :}. I've been enjoying my trip through the blogosphere lately after recovering from a divorce and have also enjoyed the humor of Grace Adams and her blog, "Looks Great Naked." She's an over-comer who believes in herself and that “victim” is not a good look for anyone.

Bing Yap October 27, 2010 at 10:13 PM

thanks for the kind words, sandee. :)

Amanda Moore October 27, 2010 at 10:14 PM

Just the thought itself of a bird rising from its own ashes is so fascinating!!
You Haiku duo did justice to this majestic mythical creature... perfect!

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you decide to see beyond the imperfections.

"Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward to the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage and confidence." ~ Og Mandino

If I could wish for my life to be perfect, it would be tempting, but I would have to decline, for life would no longer teach me anything.
