Homecoming (Sensational Haiku Wednesday)

one familiar room
wistful vestiges of old
my eyes brimmed with tears...

memories beckoned
a place my heart sorely missed
finally i'm home!

These are beautiful, Bing! I wonder sometimes if you think in haiku - they seem to flow so effortlessly for you!

Really lovely :)

Sandee August 4, 2010 at 11:59 PM

There's no place quite like home. Beautiful as always.

Have a terrific day Bing. Big hug. :)

Amanda Moore August 5, 2010 at 12:23 AM

Gosh Bing that was lovely, makes me miss my mom! But that is the point right? to use your words to stir emotions? It did!

Jim August 5, 2010 at 12:40 AM

This is neat. Your picture fits in good as I could just see two old witches flying over past haunts of a younger day.
..
BTW, the bulldozer got my old 'room.' It was a front porch with a couch because my little sister took over the second bedroom of our four room house.
We both were born in that house.

Bing Yap August 5, 2010 at 6:53 PM

jim, you are so right. could be 2 witches, one stalking/flying after the other witch who wants to escape. lol!

i hope you didn't miss your old room too much. ;)

Bing Yap August 5, 2010 at 6:54 PM

Jim August 5, 2010 at 9:54 PM

GET HER GONE FROM THERE!
..

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you decide to see beyond the imperfections.

"Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward to the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage and confidence." ~ Og Mandino

If I could wish for my life to be perfect, it would be tempting, but I would have to decline, for life would no longer teach me anything.
