He will get you through it.

The Ego (Haiku)

WELCOME TO SENSATIONAL HAIKU WEDNESDAY!

Today's theme is:
Ego

that which is not you
dictated by filtered thoughts...
that is your ego

memories of past
identify emotions...
they control your mind

free yourself from pain
thought is the cause of sorrow...
it clouds your vision

true peace from your core
is attainable...
let the thought pass by

thom, drop the thoughts that dictate how you are going to react to things or events. by living in the present moment, we discard all biases and prejudices based on past experiences. but yes, happy thoughts should carry us through each day. :)

Indeed, for it is this peace that is the trueness of our very soul and brings in harmony with our whole being.

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you decide to see beyond the imperfections.

"Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward to the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage and confidence." ~ Og Mandino

If I could wish for my life to be perfect, it would be tempting, but I would have to decline, for life would no longer teach me anything.
