What Happens Now???
This was the breaking news on July 7, 2009:

"THE pieces of bones exhumed from a private quarry in Ma-a, Davao City cannot be used as evidence against the so-called Davao Death Squad (DDS).This, as the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 50 granted the motion to quash evidence sought for by quarry owner... (by Carlo P. Mallo)"

This is really sad.
All those efforts put to naught.

Oh my I'm sorry that this upset you so.even if no one to jail over this.Maybe they will be able to descover who's the remains they are and give the family's of the missing loved ones some closure.
MIKE thanks for the insight. i am upset not because of the imminent death of the case but because this major setback might also mean the end of the investigation. if that happens, we might no longer be allowed to gain access to the reports and possible identification of the remains found there. believe me, anything can happen now. i'm trying my best to be optimistic though.

Oh honey, I am so sorry!! But don't give up hope...it is all we have!
Maybe this is just a small hurdle that we have to get over and things will work out even better than they started??
I think that now that some remains have been found, and it has been publicized, they won't be able to keep it under wraps.

yes SANDEE... politics gave it a different color, sad to say. they sometimes forget though that the victims' families have feelings too. for some people, it's only a game.
