If God brought you to it,
He will get you through it.

The Last Dance... A Repost

the
swinging
rhythm
was
spellbinding
the
pounding
beat
was
enthralling...

she slipped on
her white
nightgown
as she
prepared
for bed
but the music
playing
outside her
room
beckoned her
to heed
its call
listen she did,
and more...

the
swinging
rhythm
was
spellbinding
the
pounding
beat
was
enthralling...

she stepped
into
her red
stiletto heels
and started
 swaying
with her eyes
shut closed
she finally
let go
unaware
of the eyes
that were
watching...

the
swinging
rhythm
was
spellbinding
the
pounding
beat
was
enthralling...

he knew
she was
still mad
at him
but the
lovely sight
was too much
to resist
 he took
his chance
and took her
in his arms
their eyes locked
his gaze
drowned
 her anger
there was
nothing left
but
burning
passion...

the
swinging
rhythm
was
spellbinding
the
pounding
beat
was
enthralling...

and so,
together
they slowly
swayed
to their hearts'
content
as if
in a
trance
they danced
like
there
was
no
tomorrow...

the
swinging
rhythm
was
spellbinding
the
pounding
beat
was
enthralling...

unbeknownst
to them
their
time
was
running
out
and
tomorrow
would
never
come...

the
swinging
rhythm
was
spellbinding
the
pounding
beat
was
enthralling...

This is very beautiful and very touching. So sad that sometimes those tomorrows never come. We have to keep our memories, I think, as we work our way through the sadness. I am sorry for your loss.

This is a very touching and lovely poem, and I love the rhythm of it, with that refrain, too. So sorry for your loss.

This was a very moving poem. I loved the rhythm of it and the recurring refrain brought me right into it! Thank you for sharing and for visiting my blog!

It's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. Beautiful honey.

Have a terrific day. :)

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you decide to see beyond the imperfections.

"Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward to the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage and confidence." ~ Og Mandino

If I could wish for my life to be perfect, it would be tempting, but I would have to decline, for life would no longer teach me anything.
