He will get you through it.

I Choose Forgiveness

One more day before 2008 finally ends. As we welcome the New Year, let me share with you the lyrics of this song which I accidentally came across today as I was reading positive daily affirmations. This is also my wish for everyone as we start a new year, new life, new beginning...

I will release the past
Allow for healing
I will be free at last
Free in my mind

I accept life the way it is
I will turn all my fears to love

And in my heart I choose forgiveness
I know this is the highest way
And in my mind I choose forgiveness
It lightens up and clears the way

I trust my inner voice
I see more clearly
There is no other choice
To free my mind

I will forgive myself
And in this clearing
I find my Higher Self
All knowing Mind

It is never easy to forgive. But by consciously choosing to release negative thoughts of bitterness, resentment or revenge as well as memories of the past that no longer serve you, you have also chosen to nurture the generous and compassionate spirit within you.

The New Year is not just the dawn of a new day.
It's a whole new beginning of new hopes and dreams to achieve.
Live every moment with love and peace...
Choose to forgive.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Hi,
That is a beautiful song. It is so appropriate for someone to let go of the past in the true sense of the word and begin anew.
Thanks for sharing.
Happy New Year,
Janet :)

Great choice - forgiveness. I like your 'definition', too.

Megan from Imaginif told me about your blog. Have been lurking for a while and decided to say hi today.. Hi :-)

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you decide to see beyond the imperfections.

"Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward to the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage and confidence." ~ Og Mandino

If I could wish for my life to be perfect, it would be tempting, but I would have to decline, for life would no longer teach me anything.
