an insatiable urge
this enigmatic quest
a calling i cannot digest
profound yearning
gnaws at my core
until i can bear no more
yet this voice i hear
speaks softly like a song
whispering where i belong
a journey of sacred voyage
to the hills yonder and far beyond
i see no drifter nor vagabond
A positive voice to follow is a real gift..nicely written..

ReplyDeleteSo optimistic!
ReplyDeleteMany resist the call at first although they hear the call because, as you show in this poem, the path ahead has not been traveled before.
ReplyDeleteFollow your heart. Lovely.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Kim. :)
ReplyDeleteSusan, some even refuse to believe what they hear. Taking the path less traveled is taking a big chance. One just have to have faith.
ReplyDeleteSandee, thanks for being so encouraging always.
ReplyDeleteMary, I guess a calling like that will not stop until it is heeded. :)

ReplyDeleteHa...the call of the wild. The dilemma?
ReplyDeleteGreat expression of powerful yearning! Sometimes the only thing we can do is be true to who we are and give in.
ReplyDeleteRallentanda, it’s more of call of the unknown. To heed or not to heed, that is the dilemma. Thanks for dropping by.
ReplyDeleteThat is true, Gabriella. Thanks.
