The Rhythm of My Soul


alone
in the dark
my heart beats
a nagging rhythm
a wordless song
of love and longing
deep, intense, immense
revealing my soul's passion
yearning for connection
perhaps a song from 
distant shore
can lull me
to sleep

    Here's hoping that shore is not too distant. You use the word "yearning" and that is the overwhelming emotion I get from this. This is crafted beautifully. Bravo! Vb
