If God brought you to it,
He will get you through it.

The Quest

an insatiable urge

this enigmatic quest

a calling i cannot digest

profound yearning

gnaws at my core

until i can bear no more

yet this voice i hear

speaks softly like a song

whispering where i belong

a journey of sacred voyage

to the hills yonder and far beyond

i see no drifter nor vagabond

So optimistic!

Many resist the call at first although they hear the call because, as you show in this poem, the path ahead has not been traveled before.

Loneliness a harsh hunger. One I know you understand. Your words are touching to the soul.

We all must listen to our inner voice.. seldom wrong it is..

Thank you, Kim. :)

Susan, some even refuse to believe what they hear. Taking the path less traveled is taking a big chance. One just have to have faith.

Bing Yap January 31, 2014 at 3:50 PM

Sandee, thanks for being so encouraging always.

Bing Yap January 31, 2014 at 3:52 PM

Mary, I guess a calling like that will not stop until it is heeded. :)

Ha...the call of the wild. The dilemma?

Gabriella February 1, 2014 at 4:45 AM

Great expression of powerful yearning! Sometimes the only thing we can do is be true to who we are and give in.

Bing Yap February 1, 2014 at 11:16 AM

Rallentanda, it’s more of call of the unknown. To heed or not to heed, that is the dilemma. Thanks for dropping by.

Bing Yap February 1, 2014 at 11:17 AM

That is true, Gabriella. Thanks.

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you decide to see beyond the imperfections.

"Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward to the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage and confidence." ~ Og Mandino

If I could wish for my life to be perfect, it would be tempting, but I would have to decline, for life would no longer teach me anything.
